Rhea,
The Day of Dance was awesome - thanks for letting me know about it! I look forward to many more events like that!
Thanks!

Hi Rhea,
I don't know if you remember my husband (fiancee at the time) and I (we were the youngest couple in the class). But, we took the sunday class (intro to ballroom) about a year ago this time. We were just about to get married and had taken your class. I just wanted to thank you for everything. Our first dance at our wedding went splendidly. We would have continued to take your classes if we had not moved to Washington DC two weeks after we came back from our honeymoon (I got a job in DC). We had a wonderful time and I think I'll be able to get my husband back on the dance floor soon! I apologize for the tardiness of this email, but this year has been a whirlwind. So, I just wanted to thank you.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
yara

I didn’t dance in high school. I just wasn’t brave enough and besides, “boys” didn’t do that kind of thing. I didn’t dance in college, after all I was a starting center for a major university and dancing wasn’t the cool thing to do. I didn’t dance after college because I didn’t have time...I had to get my career going.
Then my son decided to get married and asked his mother and me to join in all the wedding festivities…including the dancing. Now what was I going to do. I didn’t know how to dance and I didn’t want to let my son down.
So, I forced my “three left feet” to the Copa and joined my wife to take our first dance lesson. That was eight months ago, and we are still dancing, still learning, and still having a ball. The people at the Copa have been wonderful…teachers and students alike. Not one person has laughed at me and I have made new friends along the way. OK, I’ll not challenge Emmitt Smith for the “Dancing with the Stars” trophy, but I will dance with pride at my son’s wedding.
I’ve learned that I can go to a club, get on the dance floor, and enjoy myself. As far as I can tell I’ve never seen the world point its collective finger at me and laugh. I’ve learned that my ego will survive a missed step or two and I’ll have a lot of fun in the process.
After eight months of classes I’ve learned some new steps, gained increased confidence on the dance floor, and spent many very special hours with my wife pursuing this new interest. Most of all I’ve realized that I wasted the last 38 years by refusing to dance with my wife and not taking my first steps on to the dance floor. Now, however, I look forward to the next 38 years dancing with her and sharing our new found joy for dancing.

We've been coming to a few of the Saturday evening classes, and have really
enjoyed them (Samba and Rumba). We had hoped to sign up for one of the
series of lessons, but right now are busy with another project through the
end of October. Hopefully we will be able to join your next session.
Thanks for the emails - we really enjoy your dance instructions.

Joe & I recently went to a wedding where there was a DJ playing
some great danceable tunes. We spent lots of time on the dance floor and
had a blast.
The interesting thing is, the Thank-you note that we received included a
delightful complement on how well we looked on the dance floor. I'd like to
take this opportunity to turn that around and thank you for all of the skills you
taught to us. We could not have done it without you! Thanks! Cindy & Joe D.
I want to thank you for such a great time on Sun. My husband went in kicking and screaming and came out talking about going next week. I have been trying to get my husband to dance with me for 16 years and have unsuccessful. We haven't had that much fun together for a long time. There aren't enough words to show my gratitude. You all are awesome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. See you on Sun. Thank you, Kim
Your studio was very, very nice. Loved the artwork and the colors. Also liked the fact all the tables were on one side of the floor.
Took the lesson (Tango). The instructor was very, very good. I thought she was considerate of all levels and reflected that in how she taught the class. She watched each couple individually and stopped many times to ask for questions. I enjoyed the interaction.
I think the Copa is excellent!!
You are excellent instructors.
Best Regards,

I always support quality...
Your place is exactly what is needed...
Your manager is an excellent instructor too...

The Copa is a GREAT place to go out dancing !
My students who attended last Friday's dance "talked-it-up" to their classmates the next week. I listened and some of the comments I heard from them included:
"We had lots of fun!" "We liked the music!" "Its such a nice place to go dancing!" "It has such nice people" "Its not like a bar...its a smoke-free, alcohol free place loaded with people who just like to dance and have a good time." "We were able to practice what we learned." P.S. Quote me if you like.
Well...hard to believe it's going on 6 months since my first 3 LEFT FEET CLASS! I've wanted to dance most of my life, but never had the confidence to actually take lessons. Oh, I found lots of excuses - no time, too expensive, no dance partner, etc etc, but it all pretty much boiled down to the fear of failure. I mean, what if I couldn't do it?? After years of making New Years Resolutions to at least investigate dance classes, and after trying in vain to convince my significant other to take lessons with me, I finally found the CopaCabanna! Referred by a friend who told me about your 3 LEFT FEET classes, which didn't require a partner and cost a mere $10.00 for an hour lesson, I decided to take a chance and just show up. I felt a little uncomfortable in that first lesson, but I vowed to return, and so return I did! And it's been great! You and the other dance instructors are terrific. I love the lessons and the "community" of dancers who go to the Copa. It is always fun and I now have the confidence to actually get out on the dance floor. I've met other "partnerless" dancers, both beginner and experienced, at the Copa. Everyone is encouraging and no one ever makes me feel self-conscious. I especially enjoy being around other people who love to dance. The dance parties are wonderful. I think everyone should go to the CopaCabanna!
Thank you!
Pam
I often talk to gals who want to take dance lessons but don't have a partner, and in spite of seeing lessons advertised as "no partner needed" are unwilling to venture out on their own. Or, they come to a lesson or two, don't see any "single" guys to dance with, or more women than men, and so don't return.
Having made the decision to learn to dance, no matter what, it didn't much matter to me if I had a regular partner. At the very first 3 LEFT FEET class I went to, there were an evenly matched number of guys and gals. I've also attended your classes when there were more men than women, so that one of your male instructors had to "follow" instead of "lead"! I've been attending classes at the Copa now for several months and more often than not, I have had "unpartnered" dance partners (if that makes sense!). Some of the guys I've met in your classes are looking for someone to dance with as well.
So, my message to all the ladies who are waiting for a partner, you just need to show up. Otherwise, all those "single" guys won't come back, and there lies the rub, as the Bard used to say.
From one of your "singles" who has been happily dancing at the CopaCabanna!
We had a lot of fun at Copacabanna on Saturday night. I'm sorry we were delayed in arriving, but grateful that we had an hour or so to enjoy the wonderful venue and good music. Dancers in Cincinnati are very lucky to have you! I wish we had a comparable dance venue in St. Louis.
Thanks very much!

Jerry & I have been coming to the Copa since you opened and have had a wonderful experience every time we walk through the door. You are always gracious and make us feel so welcome. The Copa has a large floor
- lots of room to dance - we can really MOVE on your floor. We love to come in during the day to practice our dancing - it allows us to practice the same thing again and again without interupting other dancers. When we make it to your Friday and Saturday night dances we have a great time - always lots of friendly and enthusiastic dancers.
Your New Year's Eve parties are fabulous - can hardly wait for this year's dance. Thank you Rhea, for such a lovely place to dance!

I just want to thank you for giving my husband and I the gift of dance. We started taking lessons over a year ago to prepare for a wedding that we were invited to. Our assumption at the time, was to learn a few dance steps for the event, and then we'd be done.
No so! We did indeed, dance at the wedding, but haven't stopped yet! As you know, we are still taking lessons 14 months later, and LOVING IT!!!
My husband & I have enjoyed coming to the Copa both for lessons, as well as the weekend dance parties. I never imagined that my husband would agree to go along with dance lessons, and then be so delighted with them, that it is now a way of life for us. Something we both look forward to doing together.
Rhea, we're having a blast! Hope to continue as long as possible.
Thanks again.

My husband and I are from central NY State and were visiting family in northern Kentucky. We have been involved in ballroom dancing for about two years and find it fabulous aerobic exercise as well as a wonderfully bonding experience for us. We saw your ad in a Kentucky paper, attended the Friday night dance party, and were delighted with the studio setup. The floor is one of the very best we have been on--and believe me, we have been on many. We generally dance three times a week on about eight different floors in the Syracuse-Utica area.
Harold and I found you very accommodating in responding to our requests for music. We would encourage more people in the KY-OH area to take advantage of such a wonderful resource.
Sincerely,
Ruth and Harold Rudnick
